Tris, Using backward scheduling is a bit problematic for me as it may give the work orders a start date later than production will actually begin the orders. If the dates are not reflective of the correct start date, materials may not be ordered on a timely basis. Is there some way to build a delay into the routing other…

This example is Forward but I do not want to edit the start date as the work order has already been started. I just want to revise the end date to bring it in line with reality.
-
In the example above, the expected start date was 5/29 and the order was started prior to that. Changing the planned start date may work but then I lose the ability to track when orders should have started. At any rate, I want to revise the planned completion date to give the correct information to the other teams that are…

I think I have it figured out now. Need to have rules for all of the planning categories that will fall into that type of processing.
-
Tris, OK, so I made the adjustments you suggested and got planned transfer orders to bring material back from the outsource manufacturer but not to set the raw material to them. Thanks, David

Hi Tris, Not trying to have the PO generated by the MRP. I would like to have the transfer orders to the outsource manufacturer be generated by the MRP.
-
Hello Tris, This did not solve the problem. After creating the Planning Rule Group, I refreshed our Planning Workbench and the items did not show a proposed transfer order. Ideally, we are trying to use the Outsource Manufacturing process in NetSuite and we would like to have the planning workbench give us messages to…

We actually stumbled upon a couple of things earlier today. One is that our purchase order did not always have the RECEIVE BY date filled in. Seems as though the PO is not recognized unless this date is entered. Another is that the dates on the line level of the PO will also have effect Still working through some issues…

Yes, I have received nothing so far.
-
Noted, I will submit a question for the MRP supply/demand topic.
-
but, it is not taking into consideration orders that are placed when calculating the planned orderss.
-
So, we enabled Advanced Location Configuration and all of the error went away and the MRP now seems to be picking up all of my demands to create orders.
-
Ivy, Yes, I have considered that possibility, as well. In fact, the number of errors has increased to 611 today as the support team and ACS have been working on the issue. In addition, we have the problem that the MRP is not "seeing" all of our needs and does not produce messages for items that are on sales order with…

Ivy, This does not appear to be the cause of the errors. I was able to see a partial listing of the items which have errors and they do not appear on the list of the items with fixed lot multiple set to 0. Thanks for the advice, we probably have avoided a potential problem down the road.
-
I fixed about 20 of the items before I went home last night. Still have the same number of errors. I will get the balance of the list fixed and see if that makes the difference.

Hello Ivy, Thanks for the tip. I have run the search and there are 233 items with this particular condition. I will work on fixing these and see what happens on the next planning refresh. David
