So no difference with IE. Background color to help navigate to required fields exists no more... It would be nice to allow us via themes to bring it back if we want it...
-
There is 1 area in particular where this is going to make a headache for me and also make the UI less easy to use. On the customer form there are 3 name fields, First Name, Middle Name, Last Name. 2 are required First & Last - However there is only 1 * It's only once you attempt to save that a prompt comes up to say fill…

OK so reading the release notes, the following is noted; 'Required Body Fields In previous version of NetSuite, required fields were highlighted in yellow, which was difficult for some users to see. In the New User Interface, required fields are now designated with an orange asterisk.' I know for sure that my users (mostly…

I got this update to my vote: 187239Defect2010.2 > Create New Bar > Show the text besides the icon to identify what record/transaction will be created Maybe as it is listed as a defect it will be 'fixed' !
-
2 votes and counting :)
-
*I suggest to vote for the Enhancement # and develop a very zen state of waiting for it to materialise. EDIT: & the button colour never worked https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/showthread.php?t=9105

Thanks Maria! I took a look and the abstract is 'User Interface 2010.2 > To have the ability to adjust the whiteness of the page color background' I hope somewhere it is detailed that this is about the background for the required field. Thanks again, Krishnan Vote count 1 - awesome! :)

A new option in preferences has been added! now we can show the text label!!
-
Another problem, when you are on a customer dashboard, the text values are not displayed, despite using the new preference to show text..

I feel kind of frustrated about this, on the one hand now we have the option of labels. Then on other hand now if we are on a record (eg Customer) there is no create new bar whatsoever, just that pesky '+'. So now I guess I try for an ER/Defect whatever to try and get the 'create new bar' back onto 'records' which is where…

I agree vote for bugs. That said I am very happy to see UI improvements, no doubt that is likely to resolve many small bugs in itself & if it improves my users speed and comfort with the system - then that has high value to me (and I bet every user in meaningful way), those 2 things are among the biggest 'bugs' I face day…

Looks like some good things in there, looking forward to it.

Required field background colour please VOTE enhancement #186890 It's a no brainer to get this functionality back ASAP.
-
I have no code skills. Now with this suiteflow/workflow I am able to click and code what was previously something that involved a coder. This is a quantum leap.. Get in to it, dig in, you want it!
-
Perhaps a splash of colour on mouse-over? That was mentioned during the demo as a possibilty (which I also said would be good). Also I pointed out that not having a 'stock' of icons to use for the custom records <as it is all custom records get a boring 'note' icon> makes for a less than enticing experience…

Krish0nan, Thx for the feedback. Great to hear that you think it looks better and are looking forward to it. It's going to be a real move forward no doubt. If you can at some point allow us to get the activity portlet customisable that will be welcome also. Bring on 2010.2
-
In the 'recent' er list it is the #1 in terms of count, just yesterday it was 8. With any luck NS can most uncharacteristically do something quickly. I also must add, we got the new version today. We are using NS mostly at POS across many locations and our users are not technically minded at all. We did not have any major…

Just a little more feedback on the activity portlet... as it is.. it does not really work as a 2 col as there is too much to display & then it does not really work as a 3 col either as there is too little. Hence my suggestion to perhaps orient it towards 3 col (centre) & give more detail. Letting it sit halfway forces…

Title.. Value Field =Name/ID, Formula = CONCAT(The following employee needs contract completed, {entityid}) The Name/ID of the employee will not populate.. Suggestions? Also, the assigned will be the supervisor (which works fine) but then how can I populate the "related to" as the employee? I have been pushing this around…
-
OK, so now I have tried; CONCAT(The following employee needs contract completed, {entityid}) I tried that in the formula area & also tried the text area, I removed entries to the value field, all I get is > CONCAT(The following employee needs contract completed, {entityid}) < as the text for the task title. Am I barking up…
-
I got around this by using our custom "Assigned By" field, where it is possible to select "Current Record" not perfect but works fine.
-
Hey Martyn, your right! it's ace regardless. I will go for an ER and post it shortly..
-
One more, when you reply to a case all the templates are not available to use.
-
True, the instructions are incorrect. Maybe Netsuite support should have followed a preview action plan themselves and attempted following the instructions provided to ensure they worked first?
-
any sign of a sneak release document? If someone has this doc can they email it to me??
-
I grimace whenever I click help for a field and it's not there. Netsuite should raise the bar in this area for sure. But maybe we need a 2010.2 thread for this stuff, 2010.1 is done & dusted!
