Hello Angela, thanks for the response. I understand the algorithm you are describing here. However, I was hoping Netsuite has some in-built way to do this instead of manually calculating.

@Angela Bayliss Thank you for your response. Concerns I was thinking of, are: We will endup having 2 items (duplicate) in Netsuite with same Item Number, one Inventory and the other Assembly Item. Even though, I can inactivate the Inventory Item to hide from users search, not sure about further AP implications of this. As…

Hi Tris Mendoza-Oracle, Thank you for the response. I can re-sync the Part2 item as Assembly item from PLM, but we will lose the purchase/Inventory transactional history. Is it possible to convert existing Inventory item into Assembly Item keeping the history?

I agree with you and we thought of that option, however we already have a lot of history on Inventory items and our AP does not want us to create duplicate Assembly items for these. @User_JZVKE, Thank you for sharing your interesting thoughts.
