Ah cool, thanks Kelly :)
-
It's definitely down right now. Netsuite, are you on it?
-
FWIW, I opened a case, the CSR did a great job. I waited on the phone while it was escalated (at my request) to S1. This was Today. I just received an email update that the fix was released and the defect closed. I checked all my deployments and they all executed correctly. Thanks for taking care of this NetSuite. :)
-
Is it filed as a defect or an enhancement?
-
post removed I thought your original response was funny :p
-
Hi Jim, I wasn't clear, I meant did they fix the OLD problem in the new version. Sounds like they didn't. :(
-
yes, please give us icons for custom records already. The standard blank are a constant reminder that "you aren't using standard NetSuite tools".
-
I like field groups, that's nice and will be used by us heavily. What I really want to know is if you fixed this: http://picasaweb.google.com/SteveKlett/NSUGStuff#5261962971372463922 and this http://picasaweb.google.com/SteveKlett/NSUGStuff#5277662391566080754 Oh lord, I forgot about this one!…

Yeah, I noticed that Chrome will let me do that but I've already adopted the habit of pulling notepad up on my other monitor, typing in there and then pasting into NetSuite. This also helps with NetSuite's unfortunate tendency to trash all unsaved work when a slight error is encountered. Those screen shots were taken over…

Please, someone from NetSuite clue me in here. I've had a Workflow stuck in a state since 3pm Yesterday. Is that correct? Workflow State Date Entered State Date Exited State Claim Submission Status Updater Scheduled Entry 5/6/2010 3:02 pm

Cool, thanks!

Hi James, Thank you for taking an interest in this thread. I see a message below your from John and will contact him if I'm unable to get my questions answered through the regular channels. -Steve

I would have no problem reading 2-3 hours of update notices each week over spending many more hours or even days chasing problems related to service updates. I think it would also have a positive PR effect for the admins (us) to see what NetSuite is working on and to see the improvements and changes. Put me down for a…

looks interesting. Especially the whole Lead Nurturing side of things. Could really up the game of the email marketing side of Netsuite. And the scriptable cart, will be interested to see how that pans out. Do you have access to the sneak peeks now or are you commented on what it says on the "new features" portlet?
-
If any of you get your hands on the sneak peeks on the 19th can you please email me a copy? PLEASE?
-
There are some nice sounding items there but as I suspected my top 3 or 4 items still aren't done. - Can't customize the Message record (required for any sort of real fax solution in NetSuite) - Can't customize the Address record (need to track different addresses and use script to determine where to ship based on date…

I don't know Steve, I'm just guessing, but I'm thinking not many people are using NS at 1:00 in the morning. Whatever the reason, we'll take it! ;) I know, it's sad that I work that late! ;) Also sad that the speed increase is gone, it wasn't a system upgrade :(:(
-
NetSuite - do you have any confirmation of this? I don't have a list of which searches had the email alerts setup or not so if it's true that this option was cleared then we've got a real problem here.

Here's a GREAT example!! Just received a response from support: Apparently, the information about inline HTML type of field is not available in the Help Guide. There's already an enhancement request to include the corresponding description of the field in the Help documentation. I will attach this case on that issue. Not…

Just a few that come to mind real quick:

Get the customizations up to speed with the rest of the application. No feature should be released that can't be scripted or accessed via SuiteTalk.
Make the address and message records customizable
Fix the ridiculous UI form problems

…
-
Where can we see a list of changes/new features for 2010.1? LOL!.... oohhhhh.... :(
-
It's an internally developed application.
-
Its a pity we don't ship to the US - you could use a bottle or two Steve Just what the UG needs; no more simple angry posts from me but DRUNKEN angry posts! :p MMmmmm.... wine sounds good though. Wait, it's 6:08am - I think that's bad....

Apparently this is a defect that is already scheduled for release this weekend. Defect 168751 I suppose we should put our business processes on hold for the next 4 days? NetSuite, how about you release it NOW? If you have the fix, release it so we can keep working. Here are just a couple of the email threads I have going…
-
The main issues that we have/had are:

letter merging was broken - this has apparently been fixed although I haven't checked it
nlapiTransformRecord() and creating Payments was busted. Still is but we implemented a workaround.
nlapiLookupField() stopped working for joined, slaved transaction fields. Still…

Defect 169953 - nlapiLookupField() not retrieving joined data from transactions

Man this is weird! OK, the script IS calling the method that uses the object defined in the missing file, so that's not good and should be easy enough to fix. What's weird is that we haven't changed anything and this USED to work before the upgrade. How? If the file wasn't included how could it use the object? Seems…

Of course, this makes sense. I got excited and didn't really think it through. I mean.. what would nlapiGetNewRecord() return?? ;)
Thanks for the info, I'll get started with these ASAP.

Well said Steve, and very accurate. One of my clients is in this exact position: Urgently needs the Inventory Transfer feature, but it MUST work with Web Services to interface with a high-end warehouse management system. Maybe if enough people make noise they will slip it into this version. I can't believe that adding this…
