- My Team - set up

Hi,

This should be a reletivley simple subject but can someone just clarify the process for me please.

In case searches there is a '- My Team -' am I correct in assuming that if this option is selected the subordinates of the person using the search will be shown. An that the parent of these subordinates is set in the Employee record as the supervisor? Is this where the -My Team- structure gets set?
