Don't forget to select your Event Type
It's minor but when we're all learning this new system any glitch can result in wasted time as we lack the knowledge and experience to make certain assumptions.
On a Workflow selecting the radio button "Event Based" is insufficient, you must also select "On Create" and/or "On Update". If you don't the Workflow will never be invoked. Sure, it makes sense that you need to select one but NetSuite needs do add some UI validation here and force at least one of them to be selected.
