Generating New Prospect from Custom Record with Workflow

Hi There,

I'm pretty new to customisation in Netsuite and Workflow creation. I have created an external online custom record form that takes all of its custom fields into a custom record.

With this I want to create a Workflow that will automatically use the contact fields and create a new prospect with it. I have managed to set up a workflow to do this, however it will only create the prospect when the record is created from within Netsuite. What I am looking for is this to happen automatically when the external form is submitted as record will hardly ever be created from within netsuite.
