Custom Field workflow-is automatically occuring

we are utilizing  online forms for our new website (not a ns hosted site)
Within our online form I have a hidden value called web lead, default is checked.
Through workflow  I am able to display as checked within the netsuite ui.
The problem  i run into now is that when  I  create a new lead within the netsuite  ui, the web lead is by default checked on creating the record

I'm stuck on trying to make sure that only the web lead is checked when its sumbitted on  web not when a user goes within netsuite and creates a new record.
