Update Parent Record Field

Greetings,
We have a Custom record which is the child of the Quote/Estimate.
The Custom record can get updated by a custom pricing activity.
For example: An exchange rate is updated on the Custom record.
I need to have the updated value update a corresponding field on the Quote.
Any suggestions?
