Can a workflow react to change in Document Status?

edited Dec 2, 2019 3:41PM in SuiteCloud / Customization 5 comments

Folks,

I love workflow manager. I wish I had more time to spend on it because I think we could be doing so much more with it, but already it has saved us a ton of time.

I continue to struggle with one fundamental concept, however, and that is trying to react to the change in "Document Status" of a transaction record. I talked about it in the context of Return Authorizations in the following thread:

Very frequently we need to start a workflow to 'watch over' or otherwise curate a transaction, to make sure it keeps moving forward in the business process. I would think this would be a VERY COMMON use case for workflows. Basically, we create a Return Authorization and we want to react to various events in the life cycle of that Return Authorization. We want to notify the user if we have not received the product, we want to notify staff if we have received it but not refunded it in a timely manner, etc ...

Howdy, Stranger!
