Please note that on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 8:00 PM Pacific time, our Case Management System will undergo a scheduled maintenance for approximately 4 hours. During this time, case creation via SuiteAnswers will be unavailable and inbound calls will be routed to Customer Service.
Managing Duplicates Created by Workflow
We are using workflow to create Customers, Contacts and Custom records from data submitted via an online form.
Everything works as expected until the workflow attempts to create a Customer record that already exists. When this occurs the workflow stops, the records don't get created and the online form returns the following error...
A customer record with this ID already exists you must enter a unique customer ID for each record you create. To correct this record click back and enter a new customer ID in the customer field and then click submit.
For a customer facing form this is, well, a bit rubbish!
