Lock Record - why block SuiteScript and SuiteTalk read access?
I was considering locking records for a workflow and luckily I read in the docs (I should read them more!):
Note that if you apply the Lock Record action to a record and then attempt to load that record in Web services or using SuiteScript, an error is thrown and the record is not loaded.
I thought that was odd and inconsistent with the UI. If a locked record can be viewed by a restricted user, why can it not be read by script or web services?
Is this a design choice or a current limitation?
