Workflow Transitions on SO Approval
We have a workflow for sales order approval which sets orders to pending fulfillment if they match our criteria, or transitions to a manual approval if we see any flags we want to look at.
After manual approval or the workflow sets the status to pending fulfillment, the workflow continues with comparing the order to a saved search with checks backorders and instructions for handling them, to mark the order appropriately and alert our warehouse / inventory guys.
The workflow works perfectly if at the approval stage, the order is sent to manual approval and an employee clicks the approve button.
