Create some customers as individuals

I am trying to create a staff shop for GE and when the staff members register they all enter GE or GE Lighting etc in the Company Name field. Netsuite will then create the new account called GE or GE Lighting etc with the name of the person as a contact.

Normally this is not an issue because this is what you would want to do for most customers. However as I am running the staff shop for GE the accounts are all personal.

I am trying to use WORKFLOW to force the account not to be a company by using the action set field = Is Person and that works fine but... the account is still created using the name of the company and the person is a contact on the account. So for example where the person has entered their first and last name and in the company field has entered GE Lighting the first name is set to GE and the last name is set to Lighting! I have tried to wipe out the company name before the record is created
