Create Custom Record based on Custom field change on Prospect record Workflow
Hi All,
Apologies in advance if this is not the place to post this in but I could really use some help on this.
Scenario - On an existing prospect record, if a custom field is changed to a certain value, it should create a custom record with fields populated by the prospect fields (Name, Phone, Sales Rep) after saving
Testing - 1. I created the Custom Record Type first with 3 fields and set the parent to the Customer. The other fields are List/Record Types referencing the respective Prospect fields. I made all fields mandatory.
2. I then created the workflow, Record Type is Prospect then created the State with the Action 'Create Record' that triggers when the record is saved with the specific value
