Getting up to speed and in browser testing

I'm new to scripting and NetSuite. My question has three parts: [LIST=1]
[*]Is there a recommended "Start Here" for SuiteScript? I'm hoping for functional examples that I can examine and learn how the script and API should interact.
[*]With the new SuiteScript 2.0 API is there a way to test the selectors using the browser console, like I've seen for 1.0?
[*]Should I not be messing with 2.0 yet and stick to 1.0?
