Importing Custom Fields

I made a couple of custom item fields, but when I try to import items via CSV, all the fields except the custom ones I created import successfully. i have tried using both the ID and Name of the fields as column headers but neither are picked up correctly.

Here's the error I get:

"Warning: Your CSV import file contained the following unsupported columns (these columns were not imported):
[Cat_1]."

Has anyone managed to import a custom field via CSV?
