Inheriting sales rep from parent customer

Hi,

I want to know how to assign the sales rep from a parent customer record when I am importing a new subcustomer during the upload process. At the moment if I leave the sales rep field blank in the csv file no sales rep is assigned to the imported record unless you have specific sales rules setup for new customers created. I do not know if it is possible to configure these sales rules to inherit the sales rep from the parent when a new sub customer is created. Any ideas??
