Can ExternalID be updated within NetSuite

Hello,

I've been importing my customer records from another system using CSV Import and was including the external primary key and setting it as ExternalId.   I now have about 100 Customer records that were entered into Netsuite by hand with no ExternalId reference that need to be updated using my CSV Import.  I am planning on updating the ExternalId for each record manually, but do not see how this field can be updated via the UI or programatically.

Does anyone know how the ExternalId field can be updated for a specific customer record?
