Combining a Lead and a Customer Record
We've run into an interesting problem after doing an import. Before the import, we had manually input some Customers as Leads. After the import, some of the same entities were imported as Customers, but with a slightly different name. Eg: We manually input "ABC Company" as a Lead. During the Import, "ABC Company Ltd" was imported as a Customer, with all their contacts. Doing a duplicate detection doesn't find these companies, even based on Name. We can't base it on email(full), as they don't have email addresses defined.
Is there any tricks to finding these duplicates, and then merging them so the Contacts that were imported get attached the Customer we manually imported?
