Import Acquired Company Chart of Accounts
Can anyone identify any risks with the below process for merging the chart of accounts of an acquired company from Quickbooks into an existing NetSuite account that currently has a chart of accounts for my existing company. I plan to use CSV import for each of these steps
Step 1) Rename all existing NetSuite parent accounts by appending the word "Default" (use a CSV file with Internal ID and Name and select Update)
Step 2) Eliminate the parent/child relationships
Step 3) Rename all existing NetSuite accounts that will have new names in the merged chart of accounts
Step 4) Import all new accounts (acquired company and all new parent accounts)
