How to export QB bill payments to match to bills

I need to import client data for their bills and payments from Quickbooks.  They can't seem to export the payment data with a unique identify for the bill the payment is associated to.....

In other words, we get a file and a payment file, but there is no applies to or link field on the payment to associate the payment to the Bill.

Any suggestions?
