Possible to import vendor master?

The situation is we have hundreds new vendors to add to the vendor master, but Netsuite's import/export function does not allow for us to import new vendors into the the system via csv file.  Rather, it seems all the new vendors will need to be entered in manually into the Accounts Payable subledger.  Is this true, or am I missing something?
