Script for Assigning Value to Custom Field on Web Form

We have a web site external to NetSuite. When visitors arrive there and sign up for a demo on our online form we would like to capture in a custom, hidden field the site that referenced them to us. I'm sure this has been done before, so any help would be greatly appreciated
