Custom Field to source Residential Flag ??

My shipping guys would like to see whether the ship to is a residential address or not.  Here's what I have done so far:

- Looked at the pick ticket to see if the field was available as standard field.  No such pipe dream
- Tried to create a custom transaction field that sourced the residential flag.  Type=Check box, source=Ship To... but no selection related to the residential flag.

Any ideas?
