Is it possible to subtotal quantity on a Sales Order?

We would like to be able to add a subtotal line on a Sales Order or Estimate and have it subtotal not only the Amounts but also the Quantities of the lines above it.

I am trying to figure out the easiest way to do this. I don't mind using a custom column and scripting if necessary. It seems like there should be an easier way to do it. I would think this was a common request, but I can't find anything searching this group.

Any insights would be appreciated.
