efax, merging, nlapisendemail() and message tracking

:eek: HOLY CRAP!
I've tried so many things, gotten so close and I think I'm finally out of luck.

Here is the situation:
[LIST]
[*]Custom record "A" that is child of a customer
[*]Need to send a fax from an "A" record and merge with html template
[*]HTML template needs access to MANY fields that are on the customer record (and other related fields)[/LIST]So right off the bat this isn't possible because a merge from the UI can only access the fields on the record the merge is initiated from. Fine, I will deal with that and start designing a workaround.
