Page progression control?

I'm trying to save our people some "clicking" time, and I've been looking everywhere for this, but can't seem to find anything. 

Is there any way to control what page the system takes you to after saving a page you are editing?

Sometimes when editing an Invoice, it takes you back to the home page (for what reason, I dunno), rather than the back to the invoice, or even the related SO.  Going to the home page just slows them down...   Is there some way to change/control where it takes you?
