Help with numeric function

I have a silly numeric function problem that I hope someone can help me out with...

I have a custom field of currency type who's value is the product of the subtraction of two other customer fields .  However, I don't ever want the value in this field to be less than zero and in some instances the function will produce a negative value.

How do I set the formula up so that a negative result will always be set as 0?

(ps...I am an SQL n00b)
