Help with custom fields and kit items

Hi there

I have a little problem that I'm hoping someone has a simple answer to.

I use a custom field on inventory items, lets call it CUSTX.

I have this displayed on transaction pdf and html layouts. This all works great and helps our warehouse differentiate between similar stocks.

PDF looks something like this:

CUSTX    QTY          ITEM                PRICE

abc123      1      Bottle of Red         $10
xyz789       1     Bottle of White       $13


etc etc.

That is great!

Now, when a kit item is purchased, I cannot get the custom field to show against the kit item members - eg:

CUSTX     QTY          ITEM                PRICE

asd321      1     KIT ITEM X            $20
