Customizing Ship To Select Field

If I customize the Purchase Order Form and add Ship To field under Address Tab two new fields are now displayed in the Address tab (Ship To Select and Ship To)

Is there a way
1. to customize the Ship To Select to display the Locations list?
2. when you select the location in 1 it populates the Ship To Field?

I am not as concerned about 2 as it can be achieved through scripting
