Set Value for Dropdown using Serverside Script.

Hi All,

Is there any way to read a dropdown's text/value list from server side?
I am using Schedular event for every 1hour using Server side script.
I need to be able to go through the standard dropdown, find the Text value I'm looking for, and then set the value of the dropdown once I've found the right one.

Any way to do that?
