Client script process bar/hourglass

Hi, can anyone give me some advice.

I've got a client script fired from an on form button that can take a several seconds to run, to stop the users from clicking the button again i want to display some sort of processing notification.

I'm new to java and netsuite and so far have been unable to find a way of doing this.

Any advice greatly appreciated .
