Calculating Amount line item field

Hi,

I want to perform calculation based upon some criteria and like to update the amount field with the new value in the line item on Quote.

I achieved it by using user event script. But the client wants it in client side script.

I would like to perform those calculation on the current line item when a Add/Done button is clicked.

Can any one help me on this issue.
