Automatic Sales Approval

I'd like to setup two groups or roles, A and B. I'd like A to have their sales orders automatically approved, and i'd like B's sales orders require approval from A.

I was on the phone w/ tech support and they said it's impossible except for maybe through suitescript (which i have 0 experience with)

Any thoughts / hints / points in the right direction where I could figure out how to do this? Or even find / buy a ready made script with this functionality (i can't believe I'm the first person to want to do this)
