Displaying Opportunity/Sales Order totals

Is it possible to create either a Custom Field or a Saved Search at the Customer level that when viewing a Customer, can display the Opportunity/Sales Order $ totals for that customer?

I've tried creating a Custom field but it doesn't look like I can source the data from a sub list.
