How to search on elements of a Kit item in an order.

I'm trying to get a list of all committed inventory items on sales orders (it gives us a picking list).  We have lots of kit items, and I need my search to bring back the committed inventory items that form part of that kit item, alongside the other inventory items (a separate search would also be OK, as I could merge the results myself).

Can anyone help me with searching on the elements of a kit item on a sales order?
