Sending "texts" out from Netsuite to client phone numbers

I would like to use the template feature and send "text" messages out to client contact phone numbers e.g. in same way as Netsuite utilizes email, PDF, letter, fax. Is there a way to do this? Or does someone have an alternative way to approach this?
