How to make Customer Name/ID auto checkbox default to unchecked

How to make Customer Name/ID auto check box default to unchecked?

Users meaning well will update the Customer name (Company name) and since the "Name/ID auo" check box is default checked this changes the Name?ID causing a royal mess for me.

Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks
