print label problem

Hei guys!

Currently, I meet up with a problem which is related with printing labels. Previously, we use UPC code and the bar code is printable. But you know registering UPC codes costs some money and we decided to use our internal serial numbers. The problem is that when we use our own code, the bar code could not be printed. Can we find a way to generate the bar code using our own codes, or is it feasiable to adopt this solution? Thanks for your kindly help!

By the way, I hope to know that if we could customize the print operation. I mean there is a button named 'Print Label' on the form. Can we execute some scripts when we click the button.
