Absolute Path Issue

Hi, I am pretty new to NetSuite and need a  bit of help. I am trying to implement a CSS document and add a lot of images onto my sites. I have several sites that I am working on. I am having trouble with both relative and absolute paths.

For the CSS document, I put it into my site folder under website hosting files>live hosting files. Then in my html addition to header area in my theme menu, i put in href="/site/style.css" but have not been able to make anything happen.

What I want to know, it how to find my url for an absolute link. There are currently 9 sites that have their own domains, and then a tenth, in which I am working, that does not yet have one. I am making a sort of test site on this tenth one and cannot figure out how to reference my file cabinet.
