Assistants - More sublist types in 2011.2?

I love assistants, but the inlineeditor only option is a real bummer.
Here are my reasons:

[LIST=1]
[*]Awkward user experience for a "checklist" style interaction - if I want users to check a box (a la reconcilliation) they need to first activate the line, then select the option, then click done
[*]Need to add protection code to prevent users from deleting, inserting and adding new rows
[*]Can't include HTML in a column - inlinehtml is not allowed and display type = inline results in the column not being rendered at all.  So if I want a column with links, images, etc. I can't do that (that I know of)
