Line breaks in reporting not showing

Hi there, anyone knows how to solve this: we have custom fields on transaction records that are TEXT AREAs.  In these text areas we put e.g. an address on multiple lines.  When we create a report using these fields, on the report the line brakes are not shown, so all the data is displayed concatenated on the place where there's a break.  Is there any option or setting to force line breaks on reports ?
