Sales Rep by Activity

We are using a snapshot based on the Sales Rep by Activity that we would like to customize.

The "canned" report lists a Sales Reps Tasks and Messages. 



This is fine, but our sales managers want to get a grip on the number of activities the Reps are doing today. 
Tasks are primarially used to schedule followups with the lead.  Reps do not mark a task completed until they have followed up.   Followups can be days or months in the future.

Email is an integral part of our lead relationships. Having this count included as part of completed tasks is very important.
