collapsing scheduled reports

scheduled reports works for me.  however, how do retain the collapse setting (or any setting) for a scheduled report?

the 2 settings i want to retain are 1) collapsing of certain sections (report = income statement) and 2) column = accounting period instead of total.

right now, scheduled report retains neither of those 2 settings.  i suspect its because you cannot save the report with those settings either.  surely, there must be a way to save how a scheduled report is presented/sent?
