Sourcing serialized (specific) cost in a report

I am trying to customize the Sales by Item Detail Report to show the cost of an item. For non serialized items I can source frm the item average cost field. This works great.

I cannot, however, figure out how to source the cost of a serialized item. I know it's in the system somewhere because I can drill down into a COGS account and see the serialized items costs from there.

Does anyone know of a way to get serialized item cost onto the sales by item detail report?

PS - Because this report is used by Excel as a Web Query I cannot do this with a Trans Search, it must be a report.
