New Product Sales Report

Hello,

I was hoping someone might help me with reporting logic to pull specific customers.  I want to pull a sales report for all customers who have

1.  Who have a customer category set to "hospitals"
2.  Who have purchased a specific product
3.  That specific product was purchased during a specific date range
4.  And the customer has never purchased that specific product in the past.  5.  But do not exclude customers who have purchased other items from us in the past.

I can handle items 1 and 2, but I can't figure out 3, 4, and 5 to where the report actually works.  So far, the best I can get is to where the report pulls all customers who have never purchased anything in the past.  But I want a sales report on all customers who are new to a specific product, not new to our company.  I also tried customizing the generic "New Customer Sales Detail" report but it seems to not work for specific items.  Any ideas?
