Report for items sold in kits - revisited

Problem: If you want to know how many of ITEM A you sold last month, you can't easily get the answer if ITEM A was sold individually AND was included in one or more kits.

If you are in charge of purchasing ITEM A for your company, you have to know what kits exist that include ITEM A as a member.

I know there have been similar threads dating back to mid-2006 so before I make another "work-around" attempt at getting this information, I thought I'd check if anyone has heard of improvements in this area coming from NS.  A thread from Aug 2007 mentioned rumors of improvements "coming soon".
