Finding Duplicates with SQL - Will this work?

Trying to develop a way to capture dups based on email, will the following sql query properly formated work to remove dup emails from a custom search??

SELECT email,
COUNT(email) AS NumOccurrences
FROM users
GROUP BY email
HAVING ( COUNT(email) > 1 )
