How to group reports by lot/serial number
Hi,
We are using lot numbers to manage stock and often encounter situations where one transaction line needs to specify multiple lot numbers to meet the total quantity for that item. For example, selling 10 units of item a to a customer needs 3 units from lot#1 and 7 units from lot#2.
We need to run sales reports by lot to determine the average sales price for all units in each lot. If you customise the sales by item report and group by the serial/lot numbers, unfortunately the report keeps the lot numbers grouped per the transaction. For the example above, the report will show lot#1(3),lot#2(7) as one line. We really need to have the report show two lines: lot#1 and lot#2.
